INTRODUCTION & DEFINITIONS

Terms & Conditions (B2C + B2B)
Effective 2025 • United Kingdom
 

1. Definitions

In this agreement the terms have the following meanings:

“Net-A-Kitchen”, “we”, “us”, “our” – Net-A-Kitchen Ltd
“Customer”, “you” – the purchaser of Products or Services
“Consumer” – individual purchasing outside a trade or business
“Business Customer” – builder, company, landlord, contractor or trade
“Products” – kitchens, cabinetry, doors, worktops, appliances, accessories
“Services” – delivery, installation, templating, design or related work
“Agreement” – contract created when we confirm your order
“Supplier” – any manufacturer we source from
 

2. Scope of Terms

These Terms apply to all quotations, orders, sales and services.
Consumer statutory rights are not affected

 

3. Orders

  • Orders are accepted once confirmed in writing..
  • Customers are responsible for measurements unless we carry out a site survey.
  • Once placed, changes may incur additional costs or may not be possible.
  • Many products are made-to-order and cannot be cancelled once production begins.
  • Business customers confirm orders are made in the course of business.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Cabinetry (Units, Doors, Accessories)

  • 50% deposit at order
  • 50% balance due 10 days before delivery
4.2 Appliances
  • 100% due 10 days before delivery

4.3 Worktops

  • Quartz: 100% at templating
  • 100% due 10 days before delivery

4.4 Installation Services

  • 50% at the start of installation
  • 50% upon completion

4.5 General Payment Rules

  • Payments by bank transfer only
  • Goods remain our property until fully paid
  • Late payment may delay manufacturing or installation

DELIVERY, INSPECTION & INSTALLATION

 

5. Delivery

  • Delivery dates are estimates; delays do not entitle compensation.
  • Clear access must be provided.
  • Missed deliveries may incur redelivery charges.
  • Storage charges may apply if delivery cannot be accepted.
  • Risk passes on delivery; ownership passes after full payment.

6. Inspection & Acceptance

6.1 Supply-Only Orders

  • Inspect goods immediately upon delivery.
  • Damage or shortages must be reported within 72 hours with photographs.
  • Once installed, items are deemed accepted and cannot be claimed as damaged.
  • We are not liable for fitter errors or site-related issues.

6.2 Supply + Installation Orders

  • We inspect items during fitting; defects are repaired or replaced.
  • Safe site access, power and services must be provided.
  • Delays caused by unsafe or unprepared sites may incur charges.
  • We are not responsible for damage caused by other trades.

7. Measurements & Customer Responsibilities

  • Customer-provided measurements are the customer's responsibility.
  • Site must be structurally ready (walls, floors, electrics, plumbing).
  • Unsafe or unsuitable sites may result in delays or additional charges.

8. Cancellations & Returns

8.1 Consumers

The 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to

  • made-to-order kitchens
  • custom sizes, colours or specifications
  • templated quartz worktops When manufacturing has begun, cancellation is not possible

8.2 Business Customers

  • All sales are final. No cancellations or returns permitted.

8.3 Damaged or Incorrect Goods

  • Must be reported within 72 hours
  • We will replace or repair defective goods.
  • No compensation for delays caused by replacements.

WARRANTY, LIABILITY, FORCE MAJEURE

9. Warranty & Guarantees

9.1 Net-A-Kitchen Guarantee

  • 15 years on cabinets
  • 6 years on doors

Covers manufacturing defects only.

9.2 Exclusions

  • Water/moisture or heat damage
  • Incorrect installation
  • General wear and tear
  • Poor ventilation
  • Accidental damage
  • UV fading
  • Issues caused by third-party installers

9.3 Worktops & Appliances

Covered by manufacturer warranties.

9.4 Business Customers

Warranty limited to 12 months unless manufacturer offers longer

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Consumers

We are not liable for:

  • delays
  • fitter errors
  • site conditons
  • additional labour or fitting costs
  • indirect or consequential loss

10.2 Business Customers

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we exclude liability for:

  • loss of profit
  • business interruption
  • consequential or indirect losses
  • delays of any kind
  • third-party installation issues

Total liability is capped at the price of the Products/Services supplied.

11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our control including:

  • supply chain disruption
  • transport delays
  • extreme weather
  • illness or labour shortages
  • strikes
  • pandemics
  • material shortages

Delivery or installation may be delayed until conditions improve.

FINAL TERMS

12. Intellectual Property

All designs, plans, layouts and documentation remain our property.

13. Title & Ownership

  • Risk transfers upon delivery
  • Ownership remains with us until full payment.
  • For business customers, we may recover goods if payment is not made.

14. Consumer Law

Where a Customer is a Consumer, their statutory rights override any conflicting clause.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England & Wales.
